First and foremost among all considerations at TSA is PLAYER DEVELOPMENT. TSA is striving to develop collegiate, professional, and national team players and to help all players reach their full potential. To meet this aim, players are immersed in a highly demanding training environment and an aggressive soccer education program. Upon leaving TSA after the U18 year, players should possess advanced technical ability, have a solid understanding of high-level group and team tactics, and be well acquainted with the fitness demands that are required to play 90 minutes in a University level match. TSA coaches are fully committed to a philosophy that puts player development first, and team success second. Typically, players moving through the academy will have new coaches each year. Players who are exposed to more coaches and coaching styles will become more sophisticated soccer players and therefore have a better chance for success at higher levels of play. The key to player development is to bring together highly motivated and talented players and allow them to compete against each other in training. Only players who are truly dedicated to becoming the best player they can be will excel at TSA. To maintain this type of training environment, it is essential for players to attend all practices and games and to do additional work on their own. High level training and competition, under the guidance of a knowledgeable coach, allows each player to test the limits of their abilities and become accustomed to the demands of the game.
